…When the great crowd heard all that he was doing, they came to him. And he told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, lest they crush him, for he had healed many, so that all who had diseases pressed around him to touch him….
Jesus was to be crushed on the cross, and through his crucifixion and resurrection, we are to receive restoration and healing. In Jesus we are refreshed.
The great crowd was gathered from all the areas of the twelve tribes of Israel and Jesus had a message to deliver. The people came because they had heard of all that Jesus was doing but he had a message to share.
The unclean spirits fell before him and declared Jesus to be the Son of God, but Jesus silenced them as he did not want to be known, he had something to say the people needed to hear.
Paul in Philippians 2:10 says of Jesus that at
…the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
This is the Faith of Christians, Jesus is Lord, but the people need to know that God is with them and for them and they have a future with him. We declare that the times are fulfilled and the Kingdom of God is at hand!
Declare and present your case;
let them take counsel together!
Who told this long ago?
Who declared it of old?
Was it not I, the Lord?
And there is no other god besides me,
a righteous God and a Saviour;
there is none besides me.
“Turn to me and be saved,
all the ends of the earth!
For I am God, and there is no other.
By myself I have sworn;
from my mouth has gone out in righteousness
a word that shall not return:
‘To me every knee shall bow,
every tongue shall swear allegiance.’
“Only in the Lord, it shall be said of me,
are righteousness and strength;
to him shall come and be ashamed
all who were incensed against him…
(Isaiah 45:21-24, ESV)
You are very welcome to come on a Sunday evening to chat and, if you need healing we will pray. Come and be refreshed.
