Delight

A medley of scripture for a father

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Before you were born I knew you.

I knit you together in your mother’s womb

Even the hairs of your head have I numbered

I delight over you with joy and rejoice over you with singing

My love for you is like a mighty fire

Unquenchable and strong as death

Where can you go that I shall not seek you?

Where can you go that my love cannot reach you?

Rise with the wings of the dawn

My right hand will hold you fast

Rise up on the wings of eagles

Run; you will not grow weary

Delight with me at the works of my hand.

I have counted the stars and filled the seas

I water the earth with soft dew

Taste and see that it is good.

The mountains break forth before you

And the trees of the field clap for joy

You shall go out with gladness

You shall go forth in peace
